During the international specialized manufacturing, innovation and engineering solutions exhibition BALTTECHNIKA the second international conference Industrie 4.0 took place at the lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Center ‘Litexpo‘. The conference was introduced by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania Mindaugas Sinkevičius, Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists president Robertas Dargis, Engineering Industries Association of Lithuania president Gintautas Kvietkauskas and German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce CEO Florian Schröder.
Director General of BusinessEurope Markus Beyrer and vice President of Industry 4.0 & IoT Strategy at SAP Carsten Polenz was talking about Digitising European Industry. National Strategies to Support Digitization of Industry were discussed by the previous speakers, also, the Head of Sector, Digitising European Industry Governance at European Commission Yves Paindaveine, Director General at Orgalime Adrian Harris and International Senior Consultant at MADE Merete Nørby.
One of the most popular session that gathered many participants, was BTT Group CEO‘s Donatas Zaveckas presentation. The director shared his knowledge saying that ‘Economist says that the most valuable resourse nowadays is not oil, but data. That is why the most important task for us is to protect our data. And the most trustfull desicion is cloud computing‘. The participants were very enthusiastic in discussing with the speaker on this topic. The presentation took much more time that was expected, but before leaving participants shared their positive emotions and compliments to the speaker.
In a third and forth sessions representative of Association of Metal and Electrical Industry at NORDMETALL Hans Manzke, representative of Vocational Education and Training Cologne Institute for Economic Research David B. Meinhard and Director of Plant Data Services for Nordic and Baltic Countries at SIEMENS Osakeyhtiö Teemu Pajala shared their knowledges on education and labour for Digital Manufacturing as well as digitalization of the entire industrial value chain.
