In October, the first Windows laptops with the NVIDIA RTX Spark chip arrived in Lithuania. They combine a business laptop, a gaming machine and an AI supercomputer in one device. Skaylink was among the first to receive and test one, and as the year draws to a close, it also reviews October’s other hardware news: workstations, the return of the ThinkBook 16P and an AI server in three weeks.
NVIDIA RTX Spark: an AI supercomputer in a Windows laptop
NVIDIA introduced the new chip in June at GTC Taipei 2026. It was previously known by the code name N1X. In essence, it is the DGX Spark (GB10) AI superchip adapted for laptops and lower power consumption.
The key difference is Windows. Until now, the DGX Spark platform ran only on Linux; now the same computing power is available in a familiar Windows 11 environment. Almost all major manufacturers will release RTX Spark laptops, including Lenovo, HP and Dell Technologies.
“NVIDIA’s influence on game and software developers will be obvious. Compatibility has so far been the biggest problem for ARM-based Windows laptops, and that may change fundamentally,” says Ervin Rizgelis, Head of Business Solutions at Skaylink.
Lenovo Yoga Pro 9n with RTX Spark is already at the Skaylink office
Lenovo gave Skaylink one of the first Yoga Pro 9n laptops with the RTX Spark chip. We have already tested it: in the PassMark Software benchmark, Skaylink recorded the second certified result for this laptop in the world.
The tested configuration (product code 83SR002ENT):
- 18-core processor, 5,120-core graphics and 32 GB of unified memory;
- 15.3-inch 2.5K (2560 × 1600) OLED display with 1,100 nits brightness;
- 1 TB NVMe SSD, 92.5 Wh battery, 9.2 MP camera, Windows 11 Pro.
The price is EUR 2,599 + VAT.
The top configuration (product code 83SR001YNT) has a 20-core processor, 6,144-core graphics, 128 GB of unified memory and a 2 TB SSD. It is already in stock in Lithuania, priced at EUR 5,299 + VAT.
“At first glance the price may seem high. But DGX Spark devices have cost from EUR 6,000 + VAT for a while, and here you get not just a compute box but a top-end laptop,” says Rizgelis.
Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra: prices in Lithuania
The Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra is Microsoft’s first laptop with RTX Spark and the device of this generation that NVIDIA itself promotes the most. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has said it took four years to develop.
Surface Laptop Ultra business prices in Lithuania, announced in October:
| Processor | Memory | Storage | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 18 cores | 24 GB | 512 GB | EUR 2,799 + VAT |
| 18 cores | 24 GB | 1 TB | EUR 3,199 + VAT |
| 18 cores | 32 GB | 1 TB | EUR 3,399 + VAT |
| 20 cores | 32 GB | 1 TB | EUR 3,799 + VAT |
| 20 cores | 48 GB | 1 TB | EUR 4,099 + VAT |
| 20 cores | 64 GB | 1 TB | EUR 4,499 + VAT |
| 20 cores | 64 GB | 2 TB | EUR 4,899 + VAT |
| 20 cores | 128 GB | 1 TB | EUR 5,999 + VAT |
All configurations come with Windows 11. The top 128 GB configuration will be stocked in Lithuania.
Sales start in December. Skaylink has ordered the top configuration both through Microsoft’s demo programme and for its own use, so Surface clients will be the first in Lithuania to try it in person.
Workstations and creative industries: ThinkPad P16, T16G and ThinkBook 16P
Most business laptops are bought by the thousand, but the most powerful models need a different approach. Skaylink selects them based on the client’s software and type of work, and usually prepares a demo unit.
- Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 is the most powerful mobile workstation series. Prices start at EUR 3,000 + VAT, the average is about EUR 4,000 + VAT, and some orders exceed EUR 9,000 + VAT. In recent months, Skaylink has sold more than 60% of all P16 units in the Baltics.
- Lenovo ThinkPad T16G is the P16’s twin in the same chassis, but with GeForce graphics. Model 21V50001MH is in stock in Lithuania with a GeForce RTX 5080, 64 GB of DDR5 memory, a 1 TB PCIe 5.0 SSD and a 500-nit, 100% sRGB display. The price is EUR 3,599 + VAT.
- Lenovo ThinkBook 16P has been a favourite of the creative industries since 2021, and Skaylink has sold nearly a thousand units over five years. This year its production was halted due to graphics card, memory and SSD supply problems. Skaylink secured 50 units of model 21R0004AMH with a GeForce RTX 5060, 32 GB of DDR5 memory, a 1 TB SSD and a 500-nit, 100% DCI-P3, 240 Hz display. The price is EUR 2,599 + VAT.
An AI server in three weeks
Servers with the latest NVIDIA cards often take up to six months to arrive, and the cards themselves have nearly doubled in price. Skaylink, the first Lenovo 360 Platinum partner in the Baltics, offers an AI server that clients receive three weeks after signing the contract.
The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650a configuration:
- 4 × NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition (96 GB);
- 128 GB of TruDDR5 6400 MHz memory;
- 4 × 3.84 TB U.2 and 2 × 480 GB M.2 drives;
- 2 × 3,200 W Titanium hot-swap power supplies.
The price is EUR 85,000 + VAT. “It would be hard to find just four of these cards installed in a server for less than EUR 50,000,” says Rizgelis.
When to test and how to order
RTX Spark laptops, workstations and AI servers are in high demand, and quantities are limited. If you are planning a hardware refresh, it is worth starting with a demo unit and ordering early.
