3Support for existing customers
Learn more →What is the fastest way to log a request?
Through the Service Desk portal at sd.skaylink.lt – it is available around the clock, your request is assigned immediately and you can check its status at any time. You can also email the Service Desk or, in urgent cases, call +370 5 203 4380.
How do I set the priority of a request?
By its impact on your operations. Critical – all work has stopped; high – an important system is down with no workaround; medium – something isn't working, but you can still work; low – it barely affects day-to-day work. If needed, we will agree the priority together.
What should I include in a request so you can resolve it faster?
What is happening, what error message is shown, and who is affected and where. A screenshot helps a lot. In the portal, your contact details are filled in automatically.
How quickly do you respond and resolve issues?
Response and resolution times (SLA) are set out in each customer's contract, and we stick to them. As standard, we respond within 4 hours, resolve an incident or apply a workaround within 8 hours, and fulfil service requests within 3 business days. Times are counted from when the request is logged, and our Service Desk resolves 98% of requests within SLA.
Do you come on site?
Yes. We resolve most issues remotely, and when someone needs to be on site, an onsite engineer comes to you. We have offices in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Šiauliai, and we come to Panevėžys and other Lithuanian cities as needed.
What does a Service Manager do?
A Service Manager is a dedicated person who is in daily contact with you, knows your infrastructure and priorities in depth, gives advice, proactively tells you about opportunities, prepares reports and reviews work with you. They stand in for an IT department if you don't have one, or work alongside your IT team. We handle customers' challenges on a one-stop-shop basis, while technical requests go to the Service Desk.
Who can order new equipment or a new workstation?
Only a person authorised by your organisation, by email to our sales team. We set up a workstation for a new employee within 3 business days, and equipment is delivered within 5–10 business days. We prepare every computer to your company's standard – even if you only buy the hardware from us.
I've received a suspicious email. What should I do?
Don't click any links and don't reply – forward the email to the Service Desk as a security incident. Never share your password with anyone, even if they ask on behalf of IT.
How can an engineer connect to my computer?
We connect to your computer remotely only with your consent and only through authorised methods agreed by both sides, for example TeamViewer or ScreenConnect, whose links are at the top of the skaylink.lt website. Never give access to your computer or other equipment to anyone whose identity you are not sure of, even if they claim to be from Skaylink. If in doubt, call +370 5 203 4380.

8IT audit and maturity assessment
About the service →What is an IT audit and IT maturity assessment?
An IT audit and efficiency and maturity assessment (ITEA) helps determine whether your IT department, its operations and processes are efficient and in line with good practice and the specifics of your business. It establishes your current (As-Is) and target (To-Be) IT maturity levels.
What methodology do you use?
Skaylink's ITEA methodology is based on the IT Capability Maturity Framework developed by the Innovation Value Institute, COBIT, and more than 15 years of Skaylink's hands-on experience.
How does an IT audit work?
In three stages: analysis and assessment (infrastructure, processes, internal documents), interviews with representatives of IT and other strategic departments, and recommendations and strategy with a detailed audit report.
Who is an IT audit for?
IT managers and directors, growing companies in Lithuania, and companies considering handing their IT function over to an external partner (IT outsourcing).
What is the outcome of the audit?
The report gives a list of specific tasks and solutions to help you reach the IT maturity and efficiency level you want, including steps to optimise IT costs.
Does an IT audit help reduce IT costs?
Yes. After an IT inventory or audit, IT infrastructure costs often fall by 20–30%. The audit report sets out specific steps to optimise IT costs, while the final result depends on your company's infrastructure.
Who takes part in the assessment?
Our consultants talk to your IT team and to representatives of other key business areas, so the result reflects how the business itself sees IT.
Is it worth doing an IT audit before outsourcing IT?
Yes, it's a good starting point. The assessment shows what works, what doesn't and which services you really need, so you can compare IT outsourcing proposals objectively.

1Cloud services for business
About the service →What Cloud services does Skaylink offer businesses?
Skaylink covers the full Cloud services lifecycle for businesses: Cloud platform selection and planning, AWS and Azure migration, 24/7 Cloud management (managed Cloud), and cost and security optimisation. We also offer private Cloud and Cloud hosting, hybrid and multi-cloud strategy implementation, and managed DevOps services.
AWS or Azure – which Cloud platform should my business choose?
It depends on your existing systems, licences, applications, integrations and your team's skills. If you use a lot of Microsoft solutions, Azure is often a good fit; otherwise AWS or multi-cloud. Skaylink is both an AWS and a Microsoft partner, so our recommendations are objective – based on your needs, not on a single vendor. In a 30-minute call we will discuss where to start.
How much do Cloud services for businesses cost in Lithuania?
The price depends on the platform you choose, the volume of resources and how much of the management we take over. After modernising the architecture and optimising resources, customers' monthly AWS and Azure spend often drops by around 30%. You can start with a free Cloud Check-Up worth €3,000, which will show where you are overpaying.
Is it safe to move business data to the Cloud?
Yes, if the Cloud environment is properly designed and managed. Skaylink builds environments with controlled security and access (Cloud Landing Zone), manages data security in the Cloud and has already saved customers more than €5 million by eliminating cybersecurity and data leakage risks.
Where should we start with Cloud if our company has no cloud experience yet?
Start with a 30-minute call: we’ll find out what stage you’re at and advise on what to do first – plan, build, manage or modernise your Cloud environment. If you already use AWS or Azure, a free Cloud Check-Up with read-only access will show your optimisation and security opportunities without disrupting your operations.
What results do Skaylink Cloud customers achieve?
For example, “Lindner Hotels” cut its IT operating costs by 25% and has had no major incidents in 3 years. Technology company “Unipark” delivers new features to its customers 800% faster and has reduced its Azure costs, while “BMW Group” runs its regulated systems in Azure in full compliance with all requirements.
2Cloud migration
About the service →What is Cloud migration?
Cloud migration means moving a company’s servers, applications and data from its own server room or data centre to a cloud platform such as AWS or Microsoft Azure. A well-planned Cloud migration gives your business flexibility and security, and lets you pay only for the resources you actually use.
Does moving to the cloud reduce IT costs?
A Lift-and-Shift move on its own usually brings no financial benefit. However, with the right cloud services and configurations, monthly bills typically fall by up to 30%. After an architecture update, customers’ AWS / Azure costs drop by around 30%.
What are the stages of a Cloud migration?
A Skaylink cloud migration runs in 5 stages: assessment, planning (choosing the platform and strategy), testing, migration and post-migration recommendations. At every step we run tests and process simulations to make sure the move goes smoothly.
Is migrating to the cloud secure?
Yes – we build cloud-native security tools in from the infrastructure design stage, and before migrating we test every configuration in a test environment. We design your Cloud environment with regulatory requirements in mind, and after the migration we can look after it 24/7.
Can we migrate to Azure or AWS without downtime?
We move most systems with a short cutover window outside business hours. For critical systems we plan parallel running.
Where should a business start with Cloud migration?
Start with a 30-minute call – afterwards you’ll have a concrete action plan for your Cloud migration, and we reply within one business day. If some of your systems already run in the cloud, take advantage of the free Cloud Check-Up worth €3,000 (read-only access).
Is it worth moving every system to the Cloud?
Not always. Some systems are better suited to a private Cloud or on-premises servers. We assess this in the first stage and recommend only what makes financial sense.
How do we stop Cloud costs from growing after migration?
We set up tagging, budget alerts and FinOps practices from day one, and while managing your environment we provide regular optimisation recommendations.
3Migration to Azure
About the service →How much does an Azure migration cost for a business?
The cost of an Azure migration depends on the number of servers, applications and integrations, and on the volume of data. After assessing your infrastructure, we prepare a plan with specific migration methods, expected costs and timelines. After an architecture update, customers’ monthly Azure costs fall by around 30%, and Skaylink and Microsoft may cover part of the cost of a pilot project.
How are servers migrated to Azure?
Azure migration follows three stages based on the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF): strategy and assessment, planning with Azure environment preparation and testing, and then the move itself. We migrate servers using a manual or automated Lift-and-Shift approach, and after the migration we give you recommendations on how to get more value from Azure.
Will we lose data or face downtime during an Azure migration?
Before the migration we prepare and test the Azure environment with all its configurations, and we run thorough tests at every step. This ensures a smooth “go-live” and reduces the risk of downtime. We have already moved more than 350 companies to Azure, so we know the typical obstacles in advance.
Can we try Azure before moving our entire infrastructure?
Yes. If you’re unsure whether Azure suits your infrastructure, we start with a pilot Azure project. Skaylink and Microsoft may cover part of its cost – we’ll discuss the terms in a 30-minute call.
What is the difference between migrating to Azure and migrating to Microsoft 365?
Migrating to Azure means moving your servers, applications and data (your IT infrastructure) to the Microsoft cloud. Migrating to Microsoft 365 covers workplace tools – email, SharePoint and Teams. If you’re planning both steps, Skaylink plans them together so your business keeps running without interruption.
Who will look after our Azure environment after the migration?
After an Azure migration, the Skaylink CloudOps team can take over environment management and day-to-day operations – more than 100 specialists in Lithuania and 550+ Cloud experts across the Skaylink group, with 24/7 support. Skaylink is part of the Vodafone Group and has been providing services in Lithuania for 20 years.
Does Microsoft contribute to migration costs?
In some cases, Microsoft partner programmes cover part of the assessment or migration costs. We check your eligibility during the call.
How long does an Azure migration take?
It depends on the number of systems and integrations being moved and on the volume of data. After the assessment we provide a migration plan with a specific schedule and expected costs, so you know the timelines before anything is moved.
What is the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)?
CAF is Microsoft’s proven methodology for cloud adoption. Our Azure migration services follow its stages – strategy and assessment, planning and readiness, migration and management – so your environment is secure and well designed from day one.
4Migration to AWS
About the service →How much can we save after migrating to AWS?
With the right AWS services and configurations, monthly bills typically fall by up to 30%. Based on our hands-on experience with customers, if you agree to make the necessary changes to your system architecture, an AWS migration can save your business up to 30% of monthly costs. We provide an exact estimate after analysing your infrastructure.
How are servers migrated to AWS?
AWS migration follows the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF): assessment and change modelling, alignment, planning and testing of the AWS environment, and then the move. We migrate servers using a manual or automated Lift-and-Shift approach, testing at every step, and provide recommendations after the migration.
Does an AWS migration meet GDPR and other requirements?
When migrating to AWS, we take care of security and compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR, PCI DSS) and set up a backup and data recovery policy. We build in cloud-native security tools from the design stage, so your data in the AWS cloud is protected from day one.
Can start-ups and new customers get AWS funding for migration?
AWS invests in promising start-ups and new customers, so it is possible to have a €0 monthly bill for AWS resources or for trying out services (PoC). Skaylink checks whether your company meets the criteria and helps you prepare for your migration to AWS.
What is the difference between an AWS migration and a Lift-and-Shift migration?
Lift-and-Shift is one way of migrating to AWS, where servers are moved without changing the application code. A full AWS migration also covers choosing AWS services, cost optimisation, security and, where relevant, application modernisation (containerisation). Skaylink helps you choose the approach that best suits your business.
What is the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP)?
It is an AWS programme that divides migration into assessment, readiness and migration stages. For eligible projects, AWS may cover part of the costs – we check eligibility during the call.
How much does an AWS migration cost?
The price depends on the number of servers and applications and on the volume of data. After the assessment you receive a migration plan with expected costs and timelines. New customers and start-ups may be eligible for AWS funding that covers part of the costs.
What is the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)?
It is an AWS methodology for planning and implementing cloud adoption. Our AWS migration services follow its stages – assessment, alignment and planning, launch and scale – and we run tests at every step.
5Migration to Microsoft 365

9Cloud Check-Up
About the service →What is a cloud audit and what does Cloud Check-Up check?
A cloud audit is an assessment of your AWS or Azure environment against best practice. Cloud Check-Up includes more than 600 checks based on AWS Well-Architected principles: costs, unused resources, security gaps and compliance (ISO 27000, NIST, HIPAA, PCI). You receive a report with a concrete action plan.
Is the cloud audit really free?
Yes – Cloud Check-Up is a free cloud review worth €3,000. It shows you where you’re overpaying and where security risks lie, and you decide on any next steps yourself.
What access is needed, and is the AWS and Azure audit safe?
Only read-only access is needed – we cannot change anything in your environment, and your systems run as normal. Before we start, we sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), and access is revoked once the report has been delivered.
Does Cloud Check-Up work for both AWS and Azure environments?
Yes, we carry out the free cloud audit in both AWS and Microsoft Azure environments. Skaylink is an AWS Premier Tier and AWS Advanced partner and a Microsoft Solutions Partner.
What do we get after the cloud audit?
You’ll receive a report showing how much of your resources you actually use, what you can get rid of, which security and compliance gaps were found and how to reduce costs. You can implement the recommendations yourself or entrust them to Skaylink CloudOps and DevOps experts – nothing is implemented without your approval.
How is a cloud audit different from cloud cost optimisation?
A cloud audit (Cloud Check-Up) is a free initial review of your AWS and Azure environment: costs, security and compliance. Cloud cost optimisation is the follow-up work, in which the recommendations are implemented and costs are reduced. For most customers, the logical first step is the free cloud audit.
How long does Cloud Check-Up take?
Cloud Check-Up takes 3 days. All you need to do is grant read-only access to your AWS or Azure environment, and we present the results and recommendations in a report.
How much can we save after Cloud Check-Up?
It depends on your environment. The report shows unused and oversized resources, and Reserved Instances alone can save up to 75% compared with on-demand pricing for suitable workloads.
10Cost and performance optimisation
About the service →Why is my AWS or Azure bill so high?
The most common reasons are unused or oversized resources (cloud waste), the wrong pricing model (pay-as-you-go instead of Reserved Instances), unoptimised databases, excessive data transfer charges and test environments that were never switched off. A Skaylink cloud cost audit identifies all of these issues within one week.
How much can we save by optimising AWS or Azure?
Optimising your AWS or Azure environment often reduces monthly cloud costs by 20–40%. The exact amount depends on the current state of your infrastructure and the cloud model you use; the biggest savings usually come from moving from pay-as-you-go to Reserved Instances or Savings Plans. Typically, the largest savings come from: around 30% by applying reservations to always-on systems, around 25% by right-sizing servers and around 15% by removing unused resources. A free Cloud Check-Up shows this most accurately.
What are Reserved Instances and Savings Plans?
Reserved Instances (AWS) and Azure Reservations let you commit in advance to using specific resources for 1–3 years in exchange for a price 30–72% lower than pay-as-you-go. Savings Plans are a more flexible option that lets you save regardless of the specific resource type. Skaylink helps you choose the best model for your usage profile.
What is FinOps and how does it help optimise cloud costs?
FinOps is an ongoing cloud cost management process in which IT and finance teams work together to monitor, plan and optimise AWS or Azure spending. Skaylink starts with a cloud cost audit, implements the optimisation and, if you wish, sets up continuous monitoring. A full FinOps process is usually implemented within 1–2 months.
Does cost optimisation hurt the performance of the cloud environment?
No – done properly, optimisation improves both costs and performance. Skaylink’s optimisation process always maintains or improves SLAs, stability and security levels. We configure auto-scaling so the system adjusts to the load automatically – you pay less during quiet periods, and the system scales out automatically at peak times.
How long does cloud cost optimisation take?
The initial cloud cost audit takes 1–2 weeks. Implementing specific optimisations (rightsizing, Reserved Instances, auto-scaling) takes 2–4 weeks. Full implementation of a FinOps process with continuous monitoring takes 1–2 months. Contact Skaylink – we provide an initial assessment within one business day.
Do you optimise only AWS, or Azure environments too?
We carry out cloud cost and performance optimisation in both Microsoft Azure and AWS environments – Skaylink is an official partner of both platforms. If you only use AWS, you’ll find more information on the “AWS cost optimisation” page. As a first step, you can order a free Cloud Check-Up to see where you’re overpaying.
How much does an AWS cost report cost?
If you buy AWS through Skaylink, the AWS cost optimisation report is free, regardless of how much you spend. If you buy AWS directly from Amazon or through another partner, the report costs €2,000. Transferring your AWS account to Skaylink is free – and then the report is free too.
Will reducing our AWS bill affect system performance and security?
No. AWS cost optimisation is carried out without sacrificing performance, stability or security – the first step is removing unused or oversized resources and poorly chosen services. All changes are implemented only after your approval.
Can we implement the recommendations ourselves?
Yes. Once you receive the AWS cost report, your own team can implement the recommendations. If you prefer, the Skaylink AWS team can implement them and continue to maintain your environment for an additional fee – the price depends on the scope and is charged as a monthly partnership.
11Private Cloud and hosting
About the service →What is a private cloud and how is it different from a public cloud?
A private cloud is dedicated IT infrastructure used exclusively by your organisation. Unlike a public cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), where resources are shared between many customers, private cloud servers, networking and storage are used only by your company. This ensures a higher level of security, better control over your data and compliance with GDPR and ISO 27001 requirements – which is why businesses handling sensitive data often choose a private cloud.
What is the difference between cloud hosting and traditional server hosting?
Traditional server hosting means your applications are hosted on a single physical server. Cloud hosting uses virtual infrastructure – resources can be scaled up or down quickly as needed, with high availability (SLA 99.9%+) and automated backup management. Skaylink cloud hosting runs in data centres in Lithuania.
Are Skaylink’s data centres located in Lithuania?
Yes. Skaylink uses ISO 9001, ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 certified data centres, two of which hold Tier III Facility certification. Private cloud and cloud hosting services are provided from data centres in Lithuania; other EU data centres are also available on request. This ensures low latency and GDPR compliance, with your data located within the EU.
Is a private cloud suitable for small and medium-sized businesses?
Yes. Skaylink private cloud and cloud hosting services are provided for a monthly fee – you pay only for the resources you actually use. There’s no need to invest in expensive physical server infrastructure or hire 4–5 IT specialists with different skill sets. This is especially relevant for companies subject to GDPR, ISO 27001 or NIS2 requirements.
Does Skaylink manage private Cloud 24/7?
Yes. Skaylink's Managed Cloud service includes continuous 24/7/365 infrastructure monitoring, incident management, security updates and backup management – with no holidays or weekends off. Your IT team can focus on business goals rather than day-to-day infrastructure management.
How much does private Cloud or Cloud hosting for businesses in Lithuania cost?
The price depends on the resources you need, the SLA level and any additional services. Skaylink prepares tailored proposals – get in touch and you will receive pricing within one business day. The Managed Cloud model lets you plan your IT budget precisely, with no unexpected extra costs.
Can private Cloud be combined with AWS or Azure?
Yes. We build hybrid environments where sensitive data stays in the private Cloud while other systems run on AWS or Azure.
Why does a Tier III data centre matter?
Tier III Facility certification means that maintenance work can be carried out on the data centre without interrupting its operation. There are only about five Tier III data centres in the Baltic states, and two of the data centres we use in Lithuania hold this certification.
Can we colocate our own equipment?
Yes. You can rent rack space for your servers, and we provide power, cooling, access control and remote hands support.
Can you set up a backup site for disaster recovery?
Yes. Together we plan the recovery site and the recovery steps, so that in the event of an incident your systems are restored within the agreed time.
12AWS and Azure licensing
About the service →Will our AWS or Azure environment change if we transfer our accounts?
No. The transfer is planned so that your resources and systems stay exactly the same and keep running without interruption – the only thing that changes is who you are billed through.
Can we buy licences only, without managed services?
Yes. You can purchase licences and account management on their own and add Cloud management or optimisation later.
How can we reduce AWS and Azure costs?
The biggest gains usually come from right-sizing resources, switching off unused resources, and using reservations or Savings Plans for steady workloads. We assess all of this in a cost optimisation review.
Will we get cost reports by project?
Yes. We break down costs by project, department or environment, so you can see exactly where the money goes.
Do you also help with Microsoft 365 licences?
Yes. We provide Microsoft 365 licences together with their management – find out more on our Microsoft solutions for business page.
What is AWS OLA?
The Optimization and Licensing Assessment – a free AWS assessment that uses your actual Microsoft server usage to show the optimal architecture and licensing needs before migration.
Can we use our existing Microsoft licences on AWS?
Often, yes – under BYOL rules, depending on the licence type and Software Assurance. We check this during the licensing assessment.
13Hybrid and multi-cloud
About the service →What is the difference between hybrid cloud and multi-cloud?
Hybrid cloud combines private cloud or on-premises infrastructure with public cloud. Multi-cloud uses several public cloud providers at the same time. Many companies combine both.
Does a hybrid cloud help with GDPR and NIS2 compliance?
Yes. Sensitive data can stay in Lithuania or elsewhere in the EU under GDPR, while less sensitive systems move to the public cloud.
What is vendor lock-in and how does multi-cloud help?
Vendor lock-in is dependence on one provider’s prices, technology and terms. Spreading systems across providers strengthens your negotiating position and reduces outage risk.
How much does a hybrid or multi-cloud solution cost?
It depends on system complexity, chosen platforms and the scope of management. Proposals are individual – the free Cloud Check-Up worth €3,000 is a good starting point.
Can you manage our hybrid environment 24/7 from Lithuania if we are based in the UK or US?
Yes. Hybrid and multi-cloud management is delivered remotely: 24/7 monitoring, incident handling and cost optimization by a Vodafone Group company, with working hours that overlap with the UK and EU.
Do you support international companies with on-premises systems in Lithuania?
Yes. Our English-speaking engineers work on-site in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Šiauliai and remotely, connecting your local servers with AWS, Azure or private cloud.
When does multi-cloud make sense?
When different systems are best served by different providers, when you want to avoid vendor lock-in, or when regulations dictate where data must be stored.
How do you keep costs under control across several clouds?
We use shared tagging, cost reports and FinOps practices, so you see all spending in one place and get timely recommendations.
What is hybrid cloud and why does a business need it?
Hybrid cloud combines private cloud or your own (on-premises) servers with public cloud (AWS, Azure) into a single environment. It lets a business keep sensitive data on its own infrastructure in Lithuania while moving scalable workloads to the public cloud.
Does Skaylink manage hybrid cloud 24/7?
Yes – we monitor hybrid and multi-cloud environments 24/7, handle incidents and optimize costs. Skaylink is part of Vodafone Group, has been providing services in Lithuania for 20 years, and environments are looked after by 550+ Skaylink group cloud experts.
What is Azure Local?
Azure Local (formerly Azure Stack HCI) is a Microsoft solution that lets you run Azure services on your own premises and manage them from the Azure portal through Azure Arc.
When is a private connection to the cloud worth it?
When cloud systems are business-critical, when you exchange large volumes of data, or when requirements do not allow data to travel over the public internet.
14Lift-and-shift migration
About the service →What is lift-and-shift migration?
Lift-and-shift (rehost) migration moves your servers, applications and data to AWS or Azure with their current configuration – without upfront code refactoring or architecture changes.
What are the stages of a lift-and-shift migration?
There are three: assessment of your servers, applications and data; planning with methods, costs and a timeline; and migration with testing at every step, followed by recommendations.
Will we need to change application code?
Usually not – systems move with their existing configuration. Changes may be needed if an OS or database version is no longer supported in the cloud, and Skaylink handles them.
Who is lift-and-shift migration for?
Companies with aging on-premises infrastructure, growing businesses and organizations planning digital transformation. It is the fastest first step to the cloud.
How do we optimize infrastructure after a lift-and-shift?
After the move, Skaylink recommends possible architecture changes – replatforming, containerization or refactoring – so you use more of what AWS and Azure offer.
Can you run a lift-and-shift migration remotely for a company outside Lithuania?
Yes. Our EU-based, English-speaking CloudOps engineers deliver lift-and-shift migrations remotely for companies in the UK, EU and US, with time-zone overlap and Vodafone Group standards at Baltic delivery rates.
How is lift-and-shift different from modernization?
Lift-and-shift moves systems to the cloud with minimal changes – the fastest route. Modernization adapts systems to cloud services. Often you move first and modernize later.
What happens after the migration?
We can take over 24/7 operations, optimize costs and modernize your systems step by step.
Will the migration be tested?
Yes. To keep the process smooth, testing is done at every step. Migrations are carried out with a manual or automated lift-and-shift approach.
15Security in the cloud
About the service →What is the cloud shared responsibility model?
AWS, Azure and Google Cloud secure the physical data centers and core infrastructure. You are responsible for how you configure services, manage identities and access, encrypt data and monitor activity.
What are the most common cloud security mistakes?
Publicly accessible storage, overly broad access permissions, missing encryption and no logging or auditing. These misconfigurations are easy to make because cloud resources are reachable from anywhere by default.
What does Skaylink set up to secure our cloud?
We configure data encryption, identity and access management, and auditing and logging policies in AWS and Azure, and train your team to keep them in place.
Can you secure our cloud remotely from the UK or EU?
Yes. Cloud security configuration is delivered remotely by English-speaking engineers. As a Vodafone Group company based in the EU, we work within GDPR, overlap with UK and EU business hours and provide 24/7 support.
Do you support international companies with offices in Lithuania?
Yes. We have served businesses in Lithuania for 20 years, with offices in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Šiauliai, so we can combine remote cloud work with on-site support for your local team.
Where should we start with cloud security?
Start with a free Cloud Check-Up (worth €3,000) with read-only access and no disruption, or book a 30-minute call and get a concrete action plan.
Can you help us meet NIS2 requirements in the cloud?
Yes. We assess compliance, implement technical controls and prepare documentation.
How is cloud security different from general cybersecurity?
Cloud security covers protection specifically in AWS and Azure environments: service configuration, identity and access management (IAM), encryption and auditing. Cybersecurity is a broader area covering the company’s entire IT – workstations, networks and email. You will find broader protection services in Skaylink’s security and compliance section.
Does Skaylink train our team to work securely in the cloud?
Yes – cloud security training for your team is part of this service. We train your IT specialists to work in AWS and Azure environments with security in mind, so new projects don’t create new gaps. Skaylink has more than 100 specialists in Lithuania and 550+ cloud experts across the Skaylink group.
16Cloud Landing Zone
About the service →What is a cloud landing zone?
A landing zone is a pre-configured, secure cloud environment with accounts or subscriptions, networking, identity, security baseline and policies already in place. Every future workload is deployed into it, following your rules.
Do you build both AWS and Azure landing zones?
Yes. We design landing zones for AWS, Azure or both, based on your requirements and the cloud best practices of each platform.
Why do we need a landing zone before cloud migration?
Without one, each team sets up cloud resources differently, which creates security gaps and higher costs. A landing zone sets one security baseline and automated policies before the first workload moves.
Who maintains the landing zone after it is built?
Skaylink CloudOps can fully manage it – implementing new requirements, keeping policies up to date and supporting your users – or hand it over to your team.
Can you deliver a landing zone remotely for a company outside Lithuania?
Yes. Landing zone design and operations are delivered remotely by our EU-based, English-speaking engineers. As a Vodafone Group company, we offer international standards at Baltic delivery rates.
Can a landing zone be added to an existing cloud environment?
Yes. We assess your current accounts and move them into the new structure step by step without downtime.
How long does it take to implement a cloud landing zone?
It depends on the size of your organization, your security requirements and whether the landing zone is built from scratch or in an existing Azure or AWS environment. We provide a specific implementation plan and timeline after a 30-minute call – we respond within one business day.
How does a landing zone help keep the cloud environment secure?
A landing zone sets shared security requirements up front for all future cloud deployments in your organization, so every new project automatically inherits the same security policies. This reduces the risk of manual configuration errors. Read more on the Security in the Cloud page.
17Microsoft Azure
About the service →What Azure services does Skaylink offer?

Azure holds SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, ISO 27001, ISO 27018, PCI DSS, HIPAA, CSA STAR and other compliance certifications.
18Cloud architect advisory
About the service →What does a cloud architect do, and when do you need one?
A cloud architect assesses your IT infrastructure, chooses the right platform and designs a secure, scalable architecture. You need one before a migration, when cloud costs grow faster than your business, or when the current setup no longer meets security or reliability requirements.
AWS or Azure – which cloud platform is right for my business?
It depends on your existing systems, licenses, team skills and business goals. Our architects work with both AWS and Azure, so the recommendation is not tied to a single vendor. Many companies end up with a hybrid or multi-cloud setup.
How much does cloud consulting cost?
The price depends on the scope of your infrastructure and whether you need an assessment only or full architecture design and migration coordination. Start with a 30-minute call – we send a proposal within one business day.
Do you provide cloud consulting in English for international companies in Lithuania?
Yes. Our architects work in English, and we support companies in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Šiauliai both on-site and remotely, with 24/7 support after go-live.
Can a UK, EU or US company work with a cloud architect based in the Baltics?
Yes. Cloud consulting is delivered remotely. As a Vodafone Group company, Skaylink combines international group standards with EU-based delivery, GDPR compliance, working hours that overlap with the UK and EU, and competitive Baltic rates.
What is the difference between cloud consulting and a cloud audit?
Cloud consulting plans a new cloud environment or a migration – from platform choice to budget and TCO. An audit (Well-Architected review or our free Cloud Check-Up) evaluates an existing AWS or Azure environment for security, performance and cost.
How much can a cloud architecture review save?
After the architecture is redesigned and resources are optimized, our clients’ monthly AWS and Azure costs often drop by around 30%. The exact result depends on your current setup, which is why we start with an assessment.
When does a cloud architect as a service make more sense than a hire?
When you need an architect for a project or a few days a month. You get senior expertise without recruitment or payroll costs, and the whole team’s knowledge when needed.
What is TCO and why does it matter when planning for the cloud?
TCO (total cost of ownership) covers all the costs of a cloud environment: resources, licenses, management and maintenance. In cloud consulting we help you understand the cloud “math” so you can forecast spending; after the architecture is updated, clients’ monthly AWS and Azure costs often drop by around 30%.
Does cloud architecture design also include the migration to the cloud?
Yes. Skaylink can take responsibility for preparing and implementing your cloud strategy from A to Z and coordinate a smooth migration. After the migration we continue to provide 24/7 support and, when needed, rework the architecture.
What is Competence as a Service (CaaS)?
It is on-demand cloud consulting and implementation from certified AWS and Azure experts. You describe the task, we assign the right specialists, and you pay only for the service you use.
How is it different from regular cloud consulting?
Our specialists implement the recommendations themselves instead of only handing over a report. You get architecture, migration or DevOps work done, not just advice.
20Sophos
About the service →What is Sophos?
Sophos is a British cybersecurity vendor that offers firewalls, wireless security, email and web security, data encryption, server protection and endpoint protection for businesses.

What is S3 storage and why does a business need it?
S3 storage is object storage in the cloud that is compatible with the Amazon S3 standard, which most backup and archiving tools support. It lets a business keep backups, archives and video recordings in reliable cloud storage instead of on a local server, so the data is protected from fires, floods and hardware failures.
Where is the data stored, and who manages the storage in Lithuania?
Storadera is a secure S3 storage solution built in Estonia, and the cloud storage in Lithuania is managed by Skaylink, a Vodafone Group company that has provided services in Lithuania for 20 years. We will discuss the exact data center location and your compliance requirements during a call.
Why is cloud storage better than a local server or NAS?
Local servers are expensive, inflexible and vulnerable to local disasters. Cloud storage for business requires no investment in hardware, licenses or maintenance, scales easily and protects your data from fires and floods. It also uses less electricity, which makes it a more sustainable choice.
23Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
About the service →What is the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)?
CAF is a set of best practices, documentation and tools from Microsoft, AWS and Google that helps organizations plan, migrate to and run the cloud in a structured way. It covers strategy, planning, migration, security, governance and operations.
What is the difference between CAF and the Well-Architected Framework?
CAF guides the whole cloud adoption journey – from strategy to migration and operations. The Well-Architected Framework (WAF) focuses on the quality of individual workloads across pillars such as reliability, security, cost, operational excellence and performance.
Do you use the Azure or the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework?
Both. We apply the framework that fits your target platform – Microsoft CAF for Azure, AWS CAF for AWS – and combine them for hybrid or multi-cloud projects.
Can you run a CAF-based migration for a company in the UK or EU?
Yes. Assessment, planning, migration and management are delivered remotely by English-speaking engineers. As a Vodafone Group company in the EU, we offer GDPR-aligned delivery and working-hours overlap with the UK and EU.
We are an international company with an office in Lithuania. Can you help locally?
Yes. We have served businesses in Lithuania for 20 years, with offices in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Šiauliai, so we can combine on-site workshops with remote cloud delivery.
Do small and medium-sized businesses need the CAF methodology?
Yes. CAF is not just for large enterprises – with it, small and medium-sized businesses avoid chaotic migrations and uncontrolled cloud costs. For a smaller company, the phases are simply simpler and shorter.
How long does a CAF-based move to the cloud take?
It depends on the number of systems, the volume of data and the cloud adoption strategy you choose. In a 30-minute call, Skaylink specialists will identify which CAF phase you are in and give you a concrete action plan with indicative timelines.
24Well-Architected Framework review
About the service →What is a Well-Architected Framework review?
It is a structured assessment of a cloud workload against the framework’s five pillars: operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency and cost optimization. The result is a list of risks and prioritized improvements.
Is WAF the same as a web application firewall?
No. In this context WAF means the Well-Architected Framework from Microsoft, AWS and Google – a set of cloud architecture best practices, not a security product.
Do you review both AWS and Azure workloads?
Yes. We review workloads on Azure and on AWS, and hybrid environments that use both.
How is the Well-Architected Framework different from the Cloud Adoption Framework?
CAF guides your overall cloud adoption journey, from strategy to migration and operations. WAF focuses on the design quality of specific workloads once they are planned or running.
Can you run a Well-Architected review remotely for a UK or EU company?
Yes. Reviews are delivered remotely by English-speaking engineers with working-hours overlap with the UK and EU. As a Vodafone Group company in the EU, we combine group standards with Baltic delivery rates.
What happens after the review?
You receive a concrete action plan. Your team can implement it, or Skaylink’s CloudOps and DevOps engineers can implement it and run your environment with 24/7 support.
What are the pillars of the Well-Architected Framework?
The Azure Well-Architected Framework has five pillars: operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency and cost optimization. The AWS Well-Architected Framework adds a sixth – sustainability. Skaylink runs the WAF review against the pillars of the platform you use.
How is a WAF review different from a Cloud Check-Up?
The Cloud Check-Up is a free general review of your cloud environment, worth €3,000, carried out with read-only access. A WAF review is a deeper review of your cloud architecture against the Well-Architected pillars, usually for a specific solution or workload. Many clients start with the Cloud Check-Up and follow up with a WAF review.
When should we run a Well-Architected Framework review?
It is worth running a WAF review before building a new solution, after migrating to AWS or Azure, when cloud costs grow for no clear reason, or after a security or availability incident. Regular architecture reviews help you spot risks early, while they are still inexpensive to fix.
Does the Well-Architected Framework help reduce cloud costs?
Yes – cost optimization is one of the WAF pillars. After an architecture update, Skaylink clients’ monthly AWS and Azure costs often drop by about 30%. Savings come from rightsizing resources, automating how they scale and optimizing storage (see Azure and AWS performance and cost optimization).
25Data platforms and analytics
About the service →What is the difference between a data lake and a data warehouse?
A data lake stores varied data, including raw data, while a warehouse stores structured data for reporting. Modern platforms often combine both.
Is a data platform worth it for a mid-sized company?
Yes. We start with one data domain and you pay only for the cloud resources you use, so the platform can grow step by step.
Azure or AWS – which should we choose?
It usually depends on your current environment: if you use Microsoft 365 and Azure, Azure is the natural choice; if your infrastructure is on AWS, choose AWS. We advise based on your situation.
Can you connect our finance and ERP systems?
Usually yes, through APIs, database connectors or file exports. We check each source during the assessment.
How long until the first result?
We usually deliver the first data domain and dashboard within a few weeks after the assessment.
Who runs the platform after go-live?
We can hand it over to your team with documentation and training, or run it as a managed service.
26Cloud operations 24/7
About the service →Is 24/7 support available to everyone?
24/7 support is provided to clients with an operations contract. If you are not a client yet, please contact our sales team.
How are proactive operations different from regular support?
Regular support reacts when the client reports an issue. Proactive operations spot and resolve issues early and report them to you.
Which environments do you support?
AWS, Microsoft Azure, private cloud and hybrid environments where some systems run on your own servers.
Can we start with one system?
Yes. We can start with your most critical system and expand later.
How is the SLA defined?
Response and resolution times are agreed based on how critical each system is and are set out in the contract.
27Cloud security assessment
About the service →Will the assessment disrupt our systems?
No. We use read-only access and make no changes to your environment.
How long does a cloud security assessment take?
It depends on the number of accounts and subscriptions and the size of your environment. We give an exact timeline after a short call.
Does the assessment help with NIS2 requirements?
Yes. The results reveal technical gaps that matter for NIS2, and we can assess broader compliance in our NIS2 service.
Can you fix the issues you find?
Yes. We can implement the recommendations, introduce DevSecOps practices or advise your team.
How is this different from a penetration test?
An assessment checks configurations and practices, while a penetration test tries to actually exploit vulnerabilities. Many companies start with an assessment.
1DevOps services
About the service →What is DevOps and how does it benefit a business?
DevOps brings software development and IT operations together through shared processes, automation and continuous improvement. For a business, this means more frequent and safer releases of new features, fewer errors in production and faster recovery after incidents.
What do managed DevOps services include?
Skaylink's managed DevOps services include DevOps consulting and strategy, CI/CD implementation and automation, Kubernetes platforms, infrastructure as code (Terraform), DevOps tool management and monitoring, and DevSecOps security. You can start with one area and expand later.
Is it worth outsourcing DevOps to an external partner?
Yes, if you want your developers to spend more time on the product and less on maintaining tools. A DevOps partner takes over the management of pipelines, platforms and tools, while your team keeps control and gets help whenever it is needed.
Which DevOps tools do you implement and manage?
We work with Azure DevOps, GitLab, AWS tools, Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE), Datadog, Black Duck, JFrog and Xray. If you need a different tool, we implement it ourselves or together with our partners.
Where should a company start with DevOps adoption?
The best place to start is a short conversation with one of our engineers: we discuss how your developers work and which tools they use. We then assess your DevOps maturity and propose an action plan.
2Managed Kubernetes platforms
About the service →What is Kubernetes and when does a business need it?
Kubernetes is a container orchestration platform that automatically deploys, scales and updates applications. Businesses most often need it when their applications are growing, updates have to happen without downtime, or the system is made up of many separate parts (microservices).
How does managed Kubernetes differ from self-managed Kubernetes?
With managed Kubernetes, Skaylink takes over deployment, updates, monitoring and security, while your team works on the applications. A self-managed cluster has to be maintained in-house, which requires rare and expensive expertise.
EKS, AKS or GKE: which Kubernetes platform should we choose?
Amazon EKS is a good fit if your systems run on AWS, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) if you use Microsoft Azure, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for Google Cloud environments. In private Cloud we use SUSE Rancher. We choose the platform based on your existing environment, your team's skills and costs.
Can existing applications be migrated to Kubernetes?
Yes. We start a Kubernetes migration by assessing your applications, then containerise them and migrate them step by step so that your business keeps running without interruption.
When is Kubernetes not needed?
For a small application that rarely changes, Kubernetes would often be overly complex. In that case, we suggest a simpler solution, such as managed container or Cloud services.
What does the cost of Kubernetes support depend on?
The price depends on the number and size of clusters, the chosen platform, the number of applications and the level of support required. We provide an exact proposal after a short conversation and an assessment of your environment.
Do you manage Kubernetes outside Lithuania too?
Yes. We manage clusters remotely, whichever AWS, Azure or Google Cloud region they run in.
Can you take over a Kubernetes cluster that is already running?
Yes. We first assess the cluster, address the risks and then take over management with no downtime.
Do we need Kubernetes expertise in our own team?
No. We take care of the architecture and management, while your developers learn alongside our engineers in a shared workspace.
3Managed GitLab
About the service →What is managed GitLab?
Managed GitLab is a private GitLab environment that a service provider deploys, hosts, updates and monitors for you. Skaylink manages it on AWS, Azure or your own Cloud environment, monitors it 24/7 and helps your developers with runners, pipelines and permissions.
How does managed GitLab differ from GitLab.com?
GitLab.com is GitLab's public SaaS service. Managed GitLab is your own private GitLab environment that Skaylink deploys, administers and monitors 24/7/365, so your code stays in the Cloud environment of your choice.
Where is Skaylink's managed GitLab hosted?
On a Skaylink-controlled SaaS platform in AWS or Azure, or in your own Cloud environment, depending on your security and compliance requirements.
Can you migrate code from other platforms to GitLab?
Yes. Migrating code from other platforms is part of a GitLab implementation: we assess your current environment, plan the migration and help your team make the switch.
Do you train developers to work with GitLab CI/CD?
Yes. We train developers with no prior GitLab experience and advise on GitLab Runner, CI/CD pipelines and branch merging.
Can GitLab licences be purchased through Skaylink?
Yes. We supply GitLab licences and implementation ourselves or together with partners, and help you choose the right licence plan.
How many developers do you need for managed GitLab to pay off?
Managed GitLab benefits both small and large teams. For example, one of our customers with 15 projects and more than 30 developers significantly strengthened code security and collaboration.
4DevSecOps
About the service →What is DevSecOps?
DevSecOps is a DevOps practice in which security is built into every stage of software development. Security and vulnerability tests run automatically in the CI/CD process, so weaknesses are detected early.
How does DevSecOps differ from DevOps?
DevOps brings development and IT operations together so that new features reach users faster. DevSecOps adds security to the mix: it becomes the responsibility of the whole team, not just security specialists, and checks are automated.
Which DevSecOps tools do you use?
We use open source component analysis tools such as Black Duck and JFrog Xray, security testing in CI/CD pipelines, and Cloud security tools. If you need a different tool, we implement it ourselves or together with partners.
Does DevSecOps help you prepare for NIS2 (TIS2 in Lithuania) requirements?
Yes. DevSecOps helps you demonstrate that software security is managed systematically: vulnerabilities are detected and fixed, and the process is documented. For comprehensive preparation, we also offer an NIS2 compliance solution.
Does DevSecOps slow developers down?
No, not if the checks are automated. Bugs are found earlier, when they are cheaper and quicker to fix, so new versions can be released with confidence.
Can you carry out Red Team testing?
Yes. Together with our partner Syntricks, we carry out Red Team tests and vulnerability simulations in your AWS or Azure environments, and turn the results into concrete security measures.
Will we have to change our existing CI/CD tools?
No. We integrate security checks into the pipeline you already use – GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins or AWS native tools. We configure the DevSecOps tools to fit your process and train your developers.
Where do we start?
Get in touch whichever way suits you: call +370 5 203 4385, email sales [at] skaylink.lt or fill in the form. In a 30-minute call with a DevSecOps engineer we will discuss your situation, and you will receive a concrete action plan.
5DevOps support
About the service →How does DevOps support differ from hiring a DevOps engineer?
You get the expertise of a whole team, not just one person. There is no recruitment process, and support doesn't stop during holidays or sick leave.
Which platforms do you support?
AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and private Cloud, Kubernetes, GitLab, Azure DevOps and other popular DevOps tools.
Can we start small?
Yes. We can start with a few tasks per month and scale up as needed.
How quickly do you respond to incidents?
Response times are agreed according to how critical your systems are and set out in the contract.
Do you work with international teams?
Yes. Our engineers work in English and align their working hours with UK and European teams.
6Cloud-native CI/CD
About the service →What is a cloud-native CI/CD pipeline?
It is an automated process that builds, tests and deploys your code using cloud services and containers. Changes go live without disrupting running infrastructure, and failed tests stop a release before production.
How much time can CI/CD automation save?
A release that takes 4–6 hours manually typically runs in 10–15 minutes in an automated pipeline. Once infrastructure is ready for cloud-native services, new features can reach production within days.
Which CI/CD tools do you work with?
We build pipelines with GitLab CI/CD, Azure Pipelines, Azure Repos, AWS CodeCommit, CodeDeploy and CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager and Kubernetes services such as EKS and AKS. We pick tools that fit your existing stack.
Can you deliver CI/CD services remotely for UK, EU or US companies?
Yes. Our nearshore DevOps team works in English with full working-day overlap with the UK and Europe. As a Vodafone Group company, we offer enterprise standards with Baltic delivery rates.
Do you work with international companies in Lithuania?
Yes. We have served businesses in Lithuania for 20 years, with English-speaking engineers on-site and remote.
How is cloud-native CI/CD different?
The pipeline builds containers and deploys them to Kubernetes or cloud services, uses infrastructure as code and scales automatically. New versions ship more often and more safely.
Does cloud-native CI/CD require Kubernetes?
Not necessarily. Cloud-native CI/CD also works with ECS or directly with cloud services, but with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS) it is easiest to roll out updates without downtime.
AWS CodePipeline or Azure Pipelines – which should we choose?
If your infrastructure runs on AWS, AWS CodePipeline is the natural choice. Azure Pipelines fits a Microsoft environment but can also deploy to AWS. We make the decision together after assessing your environment.
Can you migrate our pipelines from Jenkins or TeamCity?
Yes. We migrate existing builds and release configurations from Jenkins, TeamCity and similar tools to GitLab, AWS or Azure DevOps, and can operate them afterwards.
Will our team be able to run the pipeline without you?
Yes – that is the goal. We train your developers to work with the pipeline and repositories. If you prefer, we can also take over ongoing operation as part of Managed DevOps.
Can you implement CI/CD remotely for a UK or EU company?
Yes. CI/CD implementation is delivered remotely by English-speaking DevOps engineers with working-hours overlap with the UK and EU. As a Vodafone Group company in the Baltics, we offer group-level standards at Baltic delivery rates.
How long does a CI/CD implementation take?
It depends on the number of applications and their current state. The first working pipeline usually goes live within a few weeks and is then extended to other systems.
7Datadog
About the service →What does a managed Datadog service include?
We implement and configure Datadog (agents, integrations, dashboards, alerts, anomaly detection, reports) and then maintain it: tuning alerts, updating integrations and helping your team troubleshoot issues.
Can you monitor both AWS and Azure environments?
Yes. Datadog supports AWS, Azure and on-premises systems, and we configure it for multi-cloud and hybrid setups. Skaylink is an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, and the Skaylink group is an Azure Expert MSP.

9Microservices consulting
About the service →What is microservices architecture and when is it worth it?
Microservices architecture means splitting an application into independent parts that can be built, deployed and scaled separately. It is usually worth it when your team or system grows and a single codebase becomes hard to change. Before changing your architecture, it is worth assessing your current setup.
Are microservices a good fit for a small company?
Not always. A small team or a single product usually does well with a simpler architecture. Microservices justify their complexity when different parts of a system have different growth and deployment needs. Consulting helps you decide whether you need them.
Is Kubernetes required for microservices?
Kubernetes is not mandatory, but it is the most widely used platform for running microservices: it automates container deployment, scaling and updates. Alternatives may suit smaller solutions better, so the platform choice should depend on your needs.
What is the difference between EKS, AKS and GKE, and which should I choose?
EKS is the managed Kubernetes platform of AWS, AKS of Microsoft Azure and GKE of Google Cloud. The right choice depends on which cloud your systems already run in, your team’s skills, and your security and cost requirements.
Can an existing monolithic application be moved to microservices without disrupting the team?
Yes. It is usually done step by step: individual parts are separated first while the rest of the system keeps running. Skaylink engineers work alongside your team, so development can continue while the architecture changes.
How are microservices related to CI/CD?
Building and deploying each microservice separately requires an automated CI/CD process. Without it, updates to individual parts become slow and risky, which is why CI/CD is often implemented together with microservices consulting.
Can I get an assessment before the restructuring starts?
Yes. We first assess your current architecture, infrastructure and processes, then provide recommendations and a plan for next steps. This lets you make decisions based on facts rather than assumptions.
Can you deliver microservices consulting remotely for companies in the UK, EU or US?
Yes. Our DevOps engineers work remotely as a nearshore team, in English, with full working-day overlap with the UK and continental Europe. Skaylink is a Vodafone Group company, so you get enterprise standards with Baltic delivery rates.
Do you support international companies based in Lithuania?
Yes. We have served businesses in Lithuania for 20 years, and our English-speaking engineers work from Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Šiauliai. We can combine on-site workshops with remote delivery and 24/7 support.
Are microservices always worth it?
No. For a small, rarely changed application a monolith is often simpler and cheaper. Microservices pay off when an application grows and several teams build it.
Can we move gradually?
Yes. We usually apply the strangler pattern: new features are built as microservices and old parts are replaced one by one.
10Azure DevOps
About the service →What does an Azure DevOps consultant do?
An Azure DevOps consultant sets up your organization, repositories, boards and pipelines, connects them to your cloud, and trains your developers. Skaylink also manages pipelines and tools after go-live.

Yes. We provide JFrog licenses and implementation ourselves or together with partners, and help you choose the right plan for your needs.
12Application modernisation
About the service →What is the difference between rehost, replatform and refactor?
Rehost moves an application to the cloud almost unchanged. Replatform makes small changes so it uses cloud services such as managed databases. Refactor rewrites parts so the application takes full advantage of the cloud.
Do we have to rewrite the whole application?
No. Usually it is enough to move and adapt it, and rewrite only the parts that slow you down most.
Will the system keep working during modernisation?
Yes. We work in phases and test every step so daily work is not affected.
How much does modernisation cost?
It depends on the number of applications and the chosen path. After the assessment we provide a plan with a budget for each phase.
Can you modernise applications built by other vendors?
Yes, if there is access to the code or at least documentation of how it works. We find out what is possible during the assessment.
13MLOps
About the service →How is MLOps different from DevOps?
DevOps automates building and deploying software. MLOps also manages data, model training and changes in model quality over time.
Do we need MLOps if we only use ChatGPT or Copilot?
Usually not. MLOps matters when you build or fine-tune your own models, for example for forecasting, anomaly detection or document analysis.
Which platforms do you use?
Azure Machine Learning, Amazon SageMaker, Kubernetes and open-source tools such as MLflow, depending on your environment.
What is model drift?
It is when real data changes and the model starts making more mistakes. Monitoring detects it and signals that the model needs retraining.
How does MLOps relate to AI transformation?
AI transformation helps find and implement AI solutions, and MLOps makes sure they run reliably and are maintained.
14Test automation
About the service →Which tests should we automate first?
Usually regression and API tests: they repeat with every release and pay off quickly.

15Integrations and APIs
About the service →What is an API and why do we need one?
An API is an agreed interface through which one system safely exchanges data with another. It lets you connect systems without manual work.
Can we connect legacy systems without an API?
Often yes, through database connectors, file exchange or a middle layer that gives the legacy system an API.
Which systems do you connect most often?
ERP, CRM, e-commerce, warehouse and logistics systems, finance, Microsoft 365 and cloud services.
How long does one integration take?
A simple integration takes a few weeks; more complex ones with several systems take a few months. We give an exact estimate after the analysis.
Who maintains the integrations after go-live?
We can run them as a service with monitoring and error alerts, or hand them over to your team with documentation.
16DevOps monitoring
About the service →Which monitoring tools do you use?
We work with Datadog, Prometheus and Grafana, Azure Monitor and Amazon CloudWatch. If you already have tools, we use them.
What is an SLO?
An SLO (Service Level Objective) is a reliability target, for example how much of the time a system must be available or how fast it must respond. It helps agree on what really matters to the business.
Do you monitor Kubernetes environments?
Yes. We monitor Kubernetes clusters, containers and the applications running on them.
Can you just set up monitoring and let us run it?
Yes. We can set up monitoring and train your team, or take over day-to-day operations.
Is monitoring 24/7?
Alerts are captured around the clock, and response times are agreed in the contract based on how critical each system is.
17DevOps consulting
About the service →What is a DevOps maturity check?
It is an assessment of your processes and tools against DORA metrics: deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate and time to restore. It shows where your team stands and what to change first.
Is consulting useful for a small team?
Yes. Small teams often need only a few changes that save a lot of time every day.
Do we have to use specific tools?
No. We adapt the recommendations to your existing tools and change only what really gets in the way.
Can you implement the recommendations?
Yes. We can implement the whole plan, part of it, or support your team.
Do you work with companies in the UK and the EU?
Yes. Our team works in English with full working-day overlap with the UK and the rest of Europe.
How long does DevOps consulting take?
It depends on the size of your team and the number of systems. We give you an exact timeline after the first call.
18Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
About the service →What is Infrastructure as Code (IaC)?
It is a way to describe servers, networks, databases and access in text files. A tool such as Terraform then creates or changes the infrastructure automatically. The code lives in Git, so the full change history is visible.
Terraform, Bicep or CloudFormation – which should we choose?
Terraform fits if you use several cloud providers or a private cloud. Bicep is the most convenient for Azure-only environments, CloudFormation for AWS-only. We choose the tool based on your environment and your team’s skills.
Can existing infrastructure be brought under code?
Yes. We import existing resources step by step, so your systems keep running and manual changes stop.
Does our team need to know Terraform?
No. We can fully maintain the infrastructure ourselves or train your team to work independently.
Do you deliver IaC remotely for companies in the UK and the EU?
Yes. Our team works in English with full working-day overlap with the UK and the rest of Europe.
What does the cost of implementing IaC depend on?
It depends on the size of your infrastructure, the number of environments and how much of it is already defined as code. We provide an exact quote after a short call and assessment.
1Cybersecurity for business
About the service →Does Skaylink provide cybersecurity and SOC services?
Yes. We provide cybersecurity services for businesses: a SOC service with 24/7/365 threat monitoring, penetration testing (pentest), NIS2 compliance solutions, BTT Armour workplace security and BTT Vault data backups. On average, we stop an attack within 38 minutes. The SOC service helps you meet NIS2 (TIS2 in Lithuania) and ISO 27001 requirements without running your own security operations centre.
We already have antivirus software. Isn't that enough?
Not always. Antivirus is just one of the layers in the SOC package. Alongside it, you get XDR (including EDR), customised SIEM and SOAR correlation, threat hunting based on indicators of compromise, and a cybersecurity team that neutralises detected threats rather than just logging them.
How much do cybersecurity services cost?
The cost of cybersecurity solutions depends on the size of your infrastructure and your specific needs. You will find more details on each solution's page, or contact us and we will come back to you with a concrete proposal within one business day.
Will penetration testing or scanning disrupt our employees' work?
No. Both IT security assessments and external attack surface scanning are carried out without affecting your employees' day-to-day work. BTT Shield domain scanning relies on publicly available sources, and penetration testing (pentest) is scheduled in advance to avoid any disruption.
We have an IT team. Will the cybersecurity service replace it?
No. The service complements your existing IT team and focuses exclusively on security – nobody is replaced. Your IT specialists carry on working as usual, while we take care of SOC monitoring, threat neutralisation and NIS2 (TIS2 in Lithuania) compliance requirements.
Where are our backups stored?
BTT Vault backups are stored in an Equinix data centre in Frankfurt, on SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified infrastructure. This is in line with NIS2 (TIS2 in Lithuania) and Lithuania's Law on Cyber Security recommendations on keeping off-site copies in another country. Your data does not reach any third parties – only the infrastructure you choose.
2NIS2 compliance
About the service →What is the NIS2 directive and who does it apply to?
The NIS2 directive (TIS2 in Lithuania) is a European Union legal act on the security of network and information systems, which came into force in Lithuania on 17 October 2024. It applies to companies operating in essential and important sectors that have more than 50 employees or an annual turnover above EUR 10 million.
Does the NIS2 (TIS2 in Lithuania) directive apply to our company?
The NIS2 (TIS2) directive generally applies to companies with more than 50 employees or an annual turnover above EUR 10 million; whether it applies also depends on the sector your company operates in. If you are unsure, an NIS2 (TIS2) compliance assessment will quickly establish whether, and which, requirements apply to you.
What is the difference between TIS2 and NIS2?
They are the same European Union directive. NIS2 is the international name (Network and Information Systems), while TIS2 is the Lithuanian name (Tinklų ir informacinių sistemų saugumo direktyva). In Lithuania, its requirements have been transposed into Lithuania's Law on Cyber Security, and supervision is carried out by Lithuania's National Cyber Security Centre (NKSC). Our NIS2 compliance service covers risk analysis, security policy, business continuity and incident management planning, and implementation.
What are the fines for not complying with NIS2?
For companies in essential sectors, fines can reach up to EUR 10 million or 2% of annual worldwide turnover. For companies in important sectors, up to EUR 7 million or 1.4% of turnover. Cybersecurity compliance is not only a technical priority but a financial one too.
How long does NIS2 compliance take to implement?
Depending on the size of the organisation and its current cybersecurity maturity, implementation usually takes between 3 and 12 months. A Skaylink cybersecurity audit lets you estimate the time and budget required precisely.
How does NIS2 compliance relate to Microsoft 365?
Microsoft 365 (M365) has built-in security features that help meet some of the NIS2 requirements: MFA, access management, data encryption, audit logs and more. Skaylink offers NIS2 compliance packages built on Microsoft 365 security capabilities (for example, BTT Armour, which covers at least 2/3 of NIS2 requirements) – an efficient way to achieve compliance if your organisation already uses the Microsoft ecosystem.
What levels of NIS2 compliance assessment do you offer?
We offer three levels, depending on your needs: a preliminary assessment (a free initial maturity assessment), a readiness assessment with DocuGuru AI (documentation analysis, gap identification, budget guidance) and a full audit (technical and legal assessment, on-site review, a detailed report with concrete solutions). We recommend the right level and send a proposal within one business day of the initial call.
Is NIS2 compliance a one-off project or an ongoing process?
Ongoing. NIS2 requires not only initial implementation but also regular risk reviews, staff training, incident management and updates. Skaylink provides ongoing cybersecurity management services (for example, an external Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)) – you can hand this entire function over to us and focus on growing your business.
3CISO as a service
About the service →What is CISO as a service (vCISO)?
It is an external head of cybersecurity: the Skaylink team takes over risk management, policy maintenance, incident coordination, audit preparation and staff training. You get CISO expertise without the cost of a full-time position, and without the risk of the knowledge walking out the door with one person.
How much does a CISO service cost?
A monthly subscription starts from EUR 570 excl. VAT, compared with roughly EUR 53,000 per year for an in-house CISO. Preparatory work is charged separately and agreed after a 2–3 week NIS2 compliance assessment.
Who reports cyber incidents to the NKSC?
Skaylink coordinates notifications to Lithuania's National Cyber Security Centre (NKSC) and other authorities – this is included in the monthly subscription. Meanwhile, your IT team or SOC handles the technical response, so no legal deadlines are missed.
How quickly can we get started?
We start with a 30-minute, no-obligation introductory call. Within 2–3 weeks we carry out an NIS2 compliance assessment and present a readiness report to your management – before any long-term contract is signed.
Is CISO as a service right for everyone?
Not always. If any of the aspects discussed above – availability, understanding of your business context or implementation of recommendations – is decisive in your situation, CISO as a service may not be the right model. It is better for you to know this up front, which is why we tell you in our very first conversation.
4SOC: detection and response
About the service →What is a SOC service and who is it for?
A SOC (Security Operations Center) service is an outsourced security operations centre: a team of cybersecurity analysts, threat hunters and incident response experts who monitor your IT infrastructure 24/7, detect cyber threats and neutralise them. Skaylink's SOC service is designed for businesses in Lithuania that want professional cyber protection without the cost of building their own security operations centre. The service includes antivirus protection, EDR, XDR, SIEM and SOAR capabilities, and a dedicated team of experts.
What is the difference between SOC and MDR services?
MDR (Managed Detection and Response) is a technology-driven detection and response model. SOC is a broader concept – a combination of people and technology. What sets Skaylink's SOC service apart is that automated MDR tools (EDR, XDR, NDR) are combined with a team of 500+ cybersecurity experts who analyse complex “grey zone” incidents 24/7 and make decisions that automation cannot. On average, an attack is stopped within 38 minutes – more than 5 times faster than even the fastest in-house team (Sophos MDR data). You get more than technology – you get a protection team that actively takes action.
Does a SOC service help you meet NIS2 (TIS2 in Lithuania) requirements?
Yes. Skaylink's SOC service directly helps you meet the cybersecurity requirements of the NIS2 (TIS2) directive: 24/7 threat monitoring, incident management and reporting within 24/72 hours, business continuity, network security management and risk reduction. The service also helps you meet ISO 27001 requirements – without having to invest in your own SOC in Lithuania.
How much does a SOC service for businesses cost?
Skaylink's SOC service is provided on a fixed monthly subscription, so you can plan your cybersecurity budget precisely, with no unexpected extra costs. The price depends on the size of your organisation, the number of protected devices and the features you choose. For a tailored proposal, contact the Skaylink team. We reply within one business day.
Is a SOC service suitable for small and medium-sized businesses?
Yes. Skaylink's SOC model is based on a monthly subscription fee, so it suits small and large companies alike. There is no need to invest in building your own security operations centre, hiring expensive specialists or buying infrastructure – you get protection from a team of 500+ experts for a fixed monthly fee. These specialists deal with threats around the world every day, so they recognise and neutralise new attacks faster. This is especially relevant for companies that fall under NIS2 and have no in-house cybersecurity capabilities.
How quickly can we start using the SOC service?
Once the contract is signed, the Skaylink team carries out an initial assessment of your infrastructure, installs monitoring agents and configures the protection platform. Typical deployment takes 1–2 weeks, depending on the complexity of your infrastructure. No additional hardware or large upfront investment is required.
What happens when a cyber incident is detected?
When an incident is detected, the Skaylink SOC team immediately initiates the response process: the threat is neutralised, a root cause analysis is carried out, and corrective actions and conclusions are provided so that the incident does not happen again. All incidents are logged in a centralised management platform and in the BTT Service Desk system. In the event of a critical incident, you will be informed immediately – directly by a SOC specialist or through Skaylink representatives.
How long is security event data retained?
Event data is retained in the Data Lake for 90 days, which is included in the service. Optionally, retention can be extended to up to 12 months when needed for audits or internal policy.
What happens if a breach does occur?
The service includes a warranty: in the event of a breach, it covers up to USD 1 million in response costs. Meanwhile, the SOC team immediately isolates the compromised devices, investigates the cause and helps restore operations.
Does the SOC service integrate with our existing security solutions?
Yes. Skaylink SOC integrates seamlessly with the most commonly used solutions: Sophos Firewall, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender for Business, BTT Armour Premium and other SIEM systems. Integration extends the value of the solutions you already have and helps you avoid unnecessary extra investment. A compatibility analysis is carried out during deployment.
Does a SOC service replace an in-house IT department?
No – a SOC service complements your in-house IT department rather than replacing it. Your IT team continues to look after day-to-day infrastructure maintenance and business systems, while Skaylink SOC focuses exclusively on cybersecurity management, threat detection, threat hunting and incident neutralisation. This frees up your in-house IT team to spend more time on strategic business goals.
5BTT Armour
About the service →What is BTT Armour?
BTT Armour is Skaylink's managed Microsoft 365 security service for businesses. It covers an information security assessment, implementation of security controls, threat management, ongoing maintenance and reporting. Your security posture is measured with the Microsoft Secure Score tool.
What is the difference between BTT Armour Basic and Premium?
Basic is designed for companies that want to hand over the management of email, users, identities and file sharing. Premium additionally covers computer and mobile device management, advanced threat protection, raising your Secure Score and a Zero Trust policy.
Which Microsoft 365 plan do I need for BTT Armour?
The Basic plan works with M365 Basic, M365 Standard, O365 E1 or a higher plan. The Premium plan requires M365 Premium, or M365 Basic together with Enterprise Mobility + Security E3.
Does BTT Armour help you meet NIS2 (TIS2 in Lithuania) requirements?
Yes. BTT Armour covers at least 2/3 of NIS2 requirements: multi-factor authentication, access management, incident management, data encryption and business continuity. The remaining areas are covered with the help of an NIS2 compliance assessment and the CISO service.
What is Microsoft Secure Score and how can you improve it?
It is a tool built into Microsoft 365 that calculates your organisation's security score and shows which settings would raise it. At the start of BTT Armour, we review this score together with you and draw up a plan of technical measures, and in the Premium plan we continuously raise and maintain the score.
Will our employees have to change the way they work?
No. BTT Armour makes use of the Microsoft 365 security features you are already paying for through your licences, so your security level goes up while employees keep working as usual. The service strikes a balance between data security and user convenience.
How long does BTT Armour implementation take?
About 4 weeks: in week one we assess your current state, in weeks two and three we configure protection, and in week four we enrol mobile devices in Intune. Your team spends about 2 hours in total – granting access, approving policy changes and taking part in short user training sessions.
Will we need to buy new licences?
Usually not – BTT Armour makes use of the Microsoft 365 licences you already have. Basic works with M365 Business Basic, Business Standard or Office 365 E1 and higher licences; Premium works with M365 Business Premium or E3/E5. If a licence is worth upgrading, we’ll show you during the Secure Score review.
Does BTT Armour respond to incidents 24/7?
Skaylink reviews alerts and responds during business hours. If you need round-the-clock response, BTT Armour is combined with a SOC service that monitors and responds 24/7.
6Vulnerability management
About the service →What is the difference between vulnerability management and penetration testing?
Vulnerability management is a continuous, automated process of finding and fixing security gaps, while penetration testing is a periodic, manual attempt to exploit them. The two complement each other.
How often do you scan?
On an agreed schedule – usually weekly or monthly, with critical systems scanned more often.
Will scanning disrupt our systems?
No. We plan scans together with you and schedule them around your working hours so we don’t overload critical systems.
Do you fix the vulnerabilities yourselves?
Yes. We can apply updates and configuration changes as part of the managed service, or hand clear tasks over to your IT team.
Does this help with NIS2 compliance?
Yes. The directive requires vulnerability handling, and a documented process with reports is suitable evidence of compliance.
7BTT Shield
About the service →Why does our IT manager have to sign the consent form?
Because we only assess a company’s domain when its IT department requests it in writing. This protects you too: no outsider can order a report about your company from us.
Does the assessment touch our systems?
No. We use only public sources – DNS records, certificate logs, breach databases and existing internet scan databases. We don’t install anything or send anything to your systems.
What does the scan check?
Domains and subdomains related to your domain, publicly accessible servers with their open ports and running software, leaked employee credentials (in breach databases and infostealer logs), and publicly available information about employees that attackers use for targeted phishing attacks.
How can we check whether our company passwords have leaked to the dark web?
Order a BTT Shield assessment. We check every email address linked to your domain against breach databases and infostealer logs – covering your entire company domain, not individual addresses as consumer tools do.
Who sees the findings?
We send the report only to email addresses on your domain and go through the findings together in a 30-minute call. After the call, your IT team has access to the dashboard.
How much does BTT Shield cost?
The price depends on the number of domains assessed and the scope of monitoring. We’ll give you an exact price in a proposal within one business day.
How is BTT Shield different from penetration testing (pentest)?
BTT Shield shows what an attacker can see from the outside, without touching your systems. Penetration testing is a periodic, controlled attack attempt that checks whether your defences can withstand a real attack. The two services complement each other.
Is the BTT Shield report suitable for a NIS2 audit?
Yes. The reports are structured around NIS2 (TIS2 in Lithuania), DORA and ISO 27001 audit requirements and include the external attack surface component that auditors expect to see.
What is an infostealer and why is it dangerous?
An infostealer is malware that steals passwords saved in the browser, session cookies and VPN access keys. Active session cookies can bypass multi-factor authentication, so BTT Shield flags such findings as top priority and recommends terminating the sessions immediately.
Can we discuss the findings in person?
Yes. Our security team is based in Vilnius, so if it suits you better, we can go through the findings face to face rather than only on a video call.
8Penetration testing
About the service →How much does penetration testing cost?
The price depends on the scope: the number of systems, IP addresses and applications tested, and the chosen approach (Black-box, Grey-box or White-box). A typical pentest takes 2–3 weeks on average, and a comprehensive assessment 3–6 weeks. We provide an exact proposal after a free scoping consultation.
How does penetration testing differ from a standard compliance audit?
A compliance audit checks whether documents exist and procedures are written down. Our audit checks whether your security controls actually stop attacks when criminals target your infrastructure using current TTPs (tactics, techniques and procedures).
Can penetration testing be tailored to our specific infrastructure?
Yes. The audit scope is defined in detail during project planning, taking your priorities and constraints into account.
How does a comprehensive cyber security audit work – attack and defence at the same time?
Both teams work in your infrastructure in parallel. As the offensive testing identifies vulnerabilities, the defence teams check monitoring capabilities in real time. The results from both sides are combined into a single, unified assessment.
Will testing disrupt our operations?
We coordinate with your operations teams throughout the engagement. If issues arise that need immediate attention, we adjust our approach. Our goal is to test your security, not to disrupt your business.
What pentest report do we get and how do we use it to fix vulnerabilities?
You’ll receive a detailed audit report with the results of both the defence posture review and the offensive testing: technical findings with specific remediation steps, live demonstrations and recommendations for optimising SOC detection settings.
Does penetration testing include support after the report?
Yes. You’ll receive a report and remediation guidance. We provide support and answer implementation questions throughout the follow-up period.
Does penetration testing help meet NIS2 and ISO 27001 requirements?
Yes. Pentests and cyber security audits relate directly to NIS2 (TIS2 in Lithuania), ISO 27001, DORA and TISAX requirements. Reports are delivered in an auditor-ready format, with CVSSv3 scores and documentation of compliance gaps.
What happens if critical vulnerabilities are found during testing?
We respond immediately and work with your team to eliminate active risks. We won’t leave you on your own with issues that need urgent action.
9Security awareness training
About the service →Who is the training for?
All employees – from managers to administrative staff. No technical knowledge is needed: we talk about situations everyone encounters every day.
How long does the training take?
We agree the length and topics with you, based on the number of employees and what matters most to your company.
How often should the training be repeated?
Threats change constantly, so we recommend repeating the training regularly and including new employees.
Does the training help with NIS2 compliance?
Yes. The directive requires cyber hygiene practices and training for employees, and security training for management.
Do you use phishing simulations in the training?
No. The training is a hands-on session with real-life examples. If you want to test whether an attack would succeed, we run a social engineering test as part of penetration testing.
10BTT Vault
About the service →What is BTT Vault?
BTT Vault is an off-site backup service for businesses, built on Veeam Enterprise Plus and Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage. Data is automatically copied to the Equinix Frankfurt data centre in Germany.
How much does BTT Vault cost?
The price depends on your scope: the number of virtual servers, the volume of data stored and the retention period. Instead of choosing from standard plans, configure your own BTT Vault – we’ll send you a proposal with a fixed monthly price within 2 business days. Setup, data upload, download and API requests are free of charge.
How is BTT Vault different from AWS or Azure backup?
BTT Vault costs up to 80% less than AWS S3 or Azure Blob (indicative), restores at up to 100 Gb/s, and immutable backups (WORM), setup, maintenance and quarterly recovery tests are already included. No fees for data downloads or API requests.
Does BTT Vault protect against ransomware?
Yes. BTT Vault uses immutable backups with WORM technology – locked copies cannot be changed for a set period, so during a ransomware attack you have a clean copy to restore your data from.
Does BTT Vault meet NIS2 requirements?
Yes. Backups are stored in a geographically separate environment, as recommended by the NIS2 (TIS2 in Lithuania) directive and Lithuania’s Law on Cyber Security, and recovery tests with a documented report are carried out every quarter. The data centre holds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certifications.
How quickly can we start using BTT Vault?
About 2 weeks from the first call to a verified backup. You receive the proposal on day 3, and the installation itself takes about an hour.
What do you need from us?
Just one server for the Veeam software – a physical server or a VM on your existing hypervisor running Windows Server 2019 or 2022. We’ll size it to your scope, and we do everything else – Veeam installation, VPN tunnel, backup jobs and verification – free of charge.
What is the 3-2-1 backup rule and how does BTT Vault implement it?
The rule calls for 3 copies of your data, on 2 different types of media, with at least 1 copy in another location. BTT Vault stores backups in Frankfurt – in another country with a separate power grid and risk profile – so you achieve true 3-2-1 without your own international infrastructure.
Can you back up Microsoft 365?
Yes. Microsoft 365 on its own doesn’t always protect against accidental or malicious deletion, so we back up Exchange Online mail, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and Microsoft Teams data. M365 backup can be added to BTT Vault, with pricing based on the number of users.
11Data security and business continuity
About the service →What is the difference between backups and a business continuity plan?
A backup protects your data, while a business continuity plan (BCP) defines how, and how quickly, you will restore all business-critical systems. We agree and model recovery scenarios with you in advance so there’s no need to improvise at a critical moment.
What is DRaaS (disaster recovery as a service)?
It is a disaster recovery service in which your entire infrastructure is replicated in the Cloud, with data, applications and systems synchronised in real time. If your primary infrastructure fails, operations switch over automatically to the standby environment without significant downtime.
What are RPO and RTO?
RTO (Recovery Time Objective) is how quickly a system must be restored. RPO (Recovery Point Objective) is how much data (measured in time) you can afford to lose. These two metrics determine which plan – “Zero-Risk”, “Low-Risk” or “Moderate-Risk” – is right for you.
Do backups protect against ransomware?
Yes, if they are immutable. No one – not even an administrator or ransomware – can change, delete or overwrite such backups, so your data can be restored after an attack.
12Free NIS2 assessment
About the service →Is the assessment really free?
Yes. The initial assessment and the follow-up call are free and come with no obligation.
How long does it take?
About 5 minutes. There are 10 questions: two on whether NIS2 applies to you, seven on governance, data protection, continuity and suppliers, and one checklist of technical measures.
How will I receive my result?
We send the result to the email address you enter in the first step. If you cannot find it, check your spam folder or contact us.
Does this confirm NIS2 compliance?
No. It is a high-level self-assessment that shows your maturity level and priority areas. Assessing compliance requires a detailed gap analysis.
What if NIS2 does not apply to us?
Security requirements often come through your customers anyway: companies covered by NIS2 must also ensure the security of their suppliers. NIS2 is also a good benchmark for any company that wants to reduce cyber risk.
What is the difference between NIS2 and TIS2?
They are the same EU Directive (EU) 2022/2555. NIS2 is the international name, TIS2 the Lithuanian one. In Lithuania its requirements are set out in the Law on Cybersecurity.
How is my data used?
We use your answers only to prepare your result and to contact you about it, in line with the Skaylink privacy policy.
1AI transformation
About the service →How much does an AI project cost?
The price depends on the task. You can start with an opportunity assessment (€1,000–2,500) or a proof of concept (€3,000–7,500). During the assessment we prepare a business case for each task, with its cost and expected return, so you can decide. The assessment is billed on time and resources, implementation is billed as a platform fee plus the work, and ongoing support is billed monthly, on time spent, or both. Also factor in the costs of data preparation, security and legal review, employee training and monitoring.
Do we need to buy an AI platform first?
No. First we identify the problems worth solving and work out what they cost you. We choose the platform to suit the task: the private Moterra platform when data must stay within your company, or Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise or Microsoft Copilot, which you may already be using.
How will you protect our company data?
When data must stay within your company, we build the solution on the private Moterra platform in an AWS environment. Otherwise we use business editions – Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise or Microsoft Copilot – and configure access according to your security policies.
Does the EU AI Act apply to us?
Transparency requirements apply from 2 August 2026: people must know they are interacting with AI, and AI-generated content must be labelled. For high-risk systems, such as recruitment or credit scoring, the requirements apply from 2 December 2027. In an AI governance consultation, we assess which requirements apply to your solutions.
What happens if the Moterra platform stops working?
The contract provides for data export and an alternative. Your data and solution stay in your AWS environment, so if needed we migrate them, for example to Amazon Bedrock.
What if the proof of concept doesn’t reach its goal?
Before the PoC we agree on one measurable goal. If we don’t reach it, the PoC fee is credited towards the cost of the next phase.
When will we see results?
The first working result is usually delivered within a few weeks. A proof of concept (PoC) shows results before the solution is rolled out across the company, and we review progress against the goals every month.
Our employees are worried AI will replace them. How do you deal with that?
We train every team and prepare a power user in each one. AI takes over repetitive work, such as writing the first draft, while people step in where their judgement is needed.
Can we get funding for an AI project?
Microsoft and AWS run partner programmes that can cover part of the cost of an assessment or proof of concept. In the first call, we check whether your project qualifies.
1IT equipment for business
About the service →Which manufacturers do you work with?
All of them. We hold the highest partnership levels with Lenovo (the only Lenovo 360 Platinum partner in the Baltics), Dell (Gold), Apple (1 of 7 B2B partners in Lithuania), Microsoft and Sophos (Platinum).
Can you build a computer or server to our specification?
Yes. We build workstations, custom PCs and AI servers for your workloads, and can prepare a demo unit beforehand.
How quickly do you deliver?
Standard business models usually within 1–5 business days. For servers and special configurations, we give you lead times with the proposal, and if the manufacturer’s lead time is too long, we suggest a faster alternative.
Is the equipment delivered ready to use?
Yes. Our service team installs software and settings and enrols devices in Microsoft Intune, Autopilot or Apple Business Manager. For larger orders, the setup is done directly at the factory.
What does “3 years without returns due to faults” mean?
It’s the principle we follow when choosing what to offer you: we only offer equipment that meets your needs and genuinely works – business-class models whose reliability we’re confident in. If something does fail, we fix it ourselves.
Do you sell to private individuals?
No. We work only with business customers – companies and organisations – so our proposals and invoices are issued to a company.
2Lenovo
About the service →Why buy Lenovo from a Platinum partner?
A Platinum partner has a direct line to Lenovo, so you get the official warranty, faster supply and help choosing the right configuration. Skaylink doesn’t just sell the equipment – we also get it ready for use and can look after it.
How long does delivery of Lenovo business computers take?
We configure and deliver computers, workstations and monitors anywhere in Lithuania within 5 business days. Lenovo servers with Top Choice Express are delivered within 20 business days.
What is the difference between ThinkPad and ThinkBook?
ThinkPad is Lenovo’s business range, with MIL-STD-810 durability testing and a Premier Support option. ThinkBook is a design-led range for small and medium-sized businesses at a more affordable price.
Can you configure and set up computers for a whole team?
Yes. We change the processor, memory or storage to suit your needs and prepare the equipment for use free of charge. For larger quantities, we create a single standardised configuration.
What warranty applies to Lenovo business equipment?
Most of the Lenovo computers we offer come with a 36-month warranty; ThinkPad X1, T and P models come with 3 years of Premier Support, and ThinkStation with On-Site service. The exact terms are listed with each model.
Does Lenovo offer CO₂ offsetting?
Yes. Lenovo offsets the CO₂ emissions generated by manufacturing and transporting the devices over their five-year lifecycle. Your company can receive an electronic certificate.
3Lenovo Copilot+ PCs
About the service →What is a Copilot+ PC?
A Copilot+ PC is a Windows 11 computer with an NPU (neural processing unit) of at least 40 TOPS that runs AI tasks on the device itself. This enables features such as Windows Studio Effects, Click to Do, Recall and Live Captions with translation while saving battery.
Does my data stay on the computer?
Copilot+ PC features such as Recall and Click to Do process data on the laptop’s NPU. Recall is opt-in, its data is encrypted and can only be accessed after confirming your identity with Windows Hello.
Do the AI features work offline?
Yes – features handled by the NPU also work without an internet connection. Some Copilot+ PC features require free Windows updates the first time.
Which languages are supported?
Feature availability depends on the device, region and language. For example, Live Captions translates speech from more than 40 languages into English. Before you buy, we will tell you what will work in your environment.
What is the difference between ThinkPad T, E, X1 and X9?

4Lenovo servers
About the service →Which Lenovo server is right for a small office?
Compact ThinkSystem ST tower servers suit small and remote offices without a server rack. Rack-mounted ThinkSystem SR servers fit companies with a server room and growing workloads.
What is the difference between ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile?
ThinkSystem is Lenovo’s server family that you choose by workload. ThinkAgile is pre-tested, pre-configured infrastructure that combines compute, storage and networking for VMware, Nutanix or Microsoft Azure Stack hybrid cloud.
Can you help us size and configure a server?
Yes. Our Lenovo server specialist will help with configuration, scalability and performance and recommend the right ThinkSystem or ThinkAgile solution.
Do Lenovo servers support hybrid cloud?
Yes. Lenovo ThinkAgile works with VMware, Nutanix and Microsoft Azure Stack, and Skaylink also manages AWS and Azure environments, so we can design the whole hybrid setup.
How fast can Lenovo servers be delivered to Lithuania?
With Lenovo Top Choice Express, servers and storage are assembled from components in Lenovo’s warehouse in Hungary and delivered across the EU, including Lithuania, within 20 business days*: up to 10 business days from order to shipment and up to 10 business days for delivery. Our expert will confirm the exact delivery time for your configuration.
How much does a Lenovo server for business cost?
The price depends on the series, processors, memory, drives and warranty level, so we calculate it for your needs. Components for Lenovo Top Choice Express configurations are already in stock, so they can be delivered faster. Send us a request and we will prepare a Lenovo server quote free of charge.
Can we get an AI server with NVIDIA GPUs quickly?
Yes. Lenovo AI Express offers three pre-validated AI server configurations with NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell or NVIDIA HGX B300 – from dozens to thousands of users. Shipping starts from 15 business days after the order.* We will help you size the AI server for your models and number of users.
AMD or Intel – which processor should a server have?
Lenovo ThinkSystem servers are available with both AMD EPYC and Intel Xeon processors. AMD is often chosen when many cores are needed for virtualisation or databases, Intel when your software requires it. Per-core licensing (e.g. Windows Server, VMware) also matters, so we choose the configuration together with you.
Is a Top Choice Express server any less reliable or secure?
No. Top Choice Express ships the same Lenovo ThinkSystem hardware that ITIC ranks first for x86 reliability and security, with the same Zero Trust supply chain, US-signed firmware and in-silicon controls. The speed comes from holding popular components in stock and running a priority build line, not from changing the hardware.
What if my configuration isn’t on the Top Choice Express list?
Tell us the workload and the date – we will confirm what can be built and shipped within 20 business days and suggest the closest qualifying configuration. The more standard the configuration, the faster it moves.
How is Top Choice Express faster than a standard order?
The most-requested server and storage components are already stocked at Lenovo’s plant in Üllő, Hungary. A qualifying configuration skips the wait for parts in transit and goes straight onto a priority line: up to 10 business days to build and test, up to 10 more to deliver.
Does Top Choice Express cover storage and ThinkAgile?
Yes. Alongside ThinkSystem rack servers it includes Lenovo DE and DM storage arrays and ThinkAgile hyperconverged systems, so a full stack can move on the same short timeline.
How is Top Choice Express pricing set?
Pricing is based on current component costs rather than a future estimate, which keeps a fast order competitive and means the quote reflects what the parts cost today, across a focused, clearly priced set of configurations.
Where are Top Choice Express servers built and shipped from?
At Lenovo’s plant in Üllő, Hungary, inside the EU. Systems ship across the single market, which shortens the delivery leg to Lithuania and keeps compliance and data residency straightforward.
5Lenovo accessories
About the service →What is a docking station for?
A docking station connects monitors, the wired network and USB devices to a laptop through one connection and charges it at the same time. At the office the laptop works like a desktop, with fewer cables on the desk.
USB-C or Thunderbolt 4 dock – which to choose?
A USB-C dock covers most office desks with one or two monitors. A Thunderbolt 4 dock is worth it for two 4K monitors, high data speeds or more charging power. If some laptops have no USB-C, a hybrid USB-A / USB-C dock fits them all.
A dock or a monitor with a built-in dock?
With a single monitor, a ThinkVision monitor with a built-in USB-C dock is convenient – one connection links and charges the laptop. With two monitors or more ports, a separate dock is the better fit.
Do you have keyboards with a Lithuanian layout?
Yes – the Lenovo Essential Wireless Combo Gen 2 with a Lithuanian layout. Other models are available to order, and we state the layout in the offer.
Which headsets suit Teams calls?
For Teams calls we offer Lenovo headsets with noise cancelling – they block open-office noise and the person you are talking to hears you clearly. More models are available to order.
Do you fit out meeting rooms with ThinkSmart?
Yes. ThinkSmart enquiries are handled by our ThinkSmart solutions expert Jonas Černauskis (+370 687 07245, jonas.cernauskis [at] skaylink.lt). He has already fitted out several meeting rooms for our clients, will help you choose a kit for your room size (6 to 20 seats) and advise on connecting it to Teams and your network.
6Lenovo monitors
About the service →How are ThinkVision business monitors different from ordinary monitors?
ThinkVision is Lenovo’s business monitor line, built for long working days. Models with a D in the name have a built-in docking station: one USB-C cable carries video, data and network and charges the laptop. Height, tilt and swivel are adjustable, and the P and T Series can be managed with the free Lenovo Display Fleet Manager.
What is the difference between the P, T and E Series?
The P Series is professional: up to 140 W charging, 2.5 GbE, factory color calibration, eKVM and 24–120 Hz. The T Series is the office mainstream: up to 100 W charging, 1 GbE and 48–120 Hz. The E Series is the budget option: a good IPS panel and adjustable stand, but no USB-C dock.
A monitor with a dock or a separate docking station – which to choose?
A monitor with a built-in dock cuts the number of cables and devices – one USB-C cable is enough. A separate Lenovo docking station suits you when you need more ports or the monitor has no USB-C. We will help you choose for your workstations.
Will the monitor deliver enough power to charge my laptop?
P Series monitors with USB-C charge up to 140 W (USB PD 3.1) – enough even for ThinkPad workstations with a discrete GPU. The T Series delivers up to 100 W with a Lenovo VDM-compatible device. We check compatibility before we send a proposal.
Can I connect several monitors to one computer?
Yes. Many P and T models have a DisplayPort output, so the next monitor daisy-chains from the first. Three 4K monitors at 120 Hz need Thunderbolt 4.
How fast is delivery and what warranty do I get?
We deliver Lenovo monitors to business customers within 5 business days in Lithuania. ThinkVision monitors come with a 36-month warranty.
How do I buy monitors for several workstations?
Single ThinkVision monitors can go straight into the cart with the cart icon next to the price; for several workstations, write to us and we will choose the models and prepare a proposal. We do not offer instalment plans.
7Lenovo exclusive offers
About the service →What is the difference between ThinkPad E, ThinkPad T and ThinkBook?
ThinkPad E is the most affordable ThinkPad for everyday office work. ThinkPad T is the corporate standard for all-day and hybrid work, with thinner T14s and convertible 2-in-1 options. ThinkBook offers modern-looking laptops for small and growing companies, and the ThinkBook 16p is built for creative work.
What is new in the 2026 ThinkPad series?
Every 2026 ThinkPad is a Copilot+ PC. The T14 Gen 7 and T16 Gen 5 are the first ThinkPads with a preliminary iFixit 10/10 score: the battery, USB-C ports, LPCAMM2 memory and fan are replaceable. New-generation AMD “Gorgon” and Intel Panther Lake processors. We confirm configurations and lead times in the offer.
Can we offset the computers’ CO₂ emissions?
Yes. With the Lenovo CO₂ Offset service, emissions from production, transport and use are offset through UN-certified climate projects, and your organisation receives a certificate – useful for ESG, CSRD and green procurement reporting.
8Lenovo workstations
About the service →How is a workstation different from a regular business computer?
A workstation has a professional NVIDIA RTX PRO GPU, more memory and a more powerful processor, so it runs CAD, BIM, 3D, video and AI software smoothly. ThinkStation desktops can later be upgraded with more memory, storage or a GPU.
Which GPU do I need for CAD or BIM?
For most CAD and BIM work an RTX PRO 1000–2000 class card is enough, while rendering, simulation and AI need more video memory – up to an RTX PRO 6000 with 96 GB. We match it precisely to your software and project size.
Can a workstation be used to build and run AI models on site?
Yes. The ThinkStation PGX with 128 GB of unified memory, the ThinkStation P4 and the P5 Gen 2 are built to train, fine-tune and run models on site, so the data stays in the company. With the free NVIDIA AI Workbench you can move a project from a ThinkPad laptop to a ThinkStation or a server.
Can I add memory or a GPU later?
On a ThinkStation, yes: the side cover, memory, drives and PCIe cards come out without tools. The ThinkPad P14s and P16s have replaceable LPCAMM2 memory; on other laptops it is best to choose the memory up front.
What warranty and support do I get?
Most models come with 3 years of Lenovo Premier Support: 24/7 help from certified engineers, one contact and next-business-day onsite repair where available.
Can I order a workstation online straight away?
Yes – click the cart icon next to the price in the offers. We will match other configurations to your needs – just write to us in the form.

Can an X1 be repaired?
Yes. The X1 Carbon Gen 14 and X1 2-in-1 Gen 11 are built on the new Space Frame: the keyboard and USB-C ports can be replaced without taking the whole laptop apart, and repairs are handled by Premier Support engineers.
Can we offset the laptops’ CO₂ emissions?
Yes. With the Lenovo CO₂ Offset service, emissions from production, transport and use are offset through UN-certified climate projects, and your organisation receives a certificate – useful for ESG, CSRD and green procurement reporting. We include the price in the offer.
How fast do you deliver?
We deliver standard configurations in 5 business days in Lithuania and set them up free of charge. You can add single laptops to the cart; for larger quantities or other configurations, send us a message in the form.
